The Eagles now have a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harts Bluff for a 2A Region III District 17 game on Friday, October 14. Detroit will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league win over Clarksville (Clarksville, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-17.

The Rebels (11-10) will now prepare for their game against Clarksville (Clarksville, TX). The Tigers enter the 2A Region III District 17 game with a 3-17 record. In their last game, Clarksville was nudged by Harts Bluff (Mt. Pleasant, TX), 3-0, in a league game.
