The McGuffey Highlanders held off the host Yough Cougars volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league test.

The Highlanders now have a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mapletown for a non-league test on Monday, October 17. McGuffey will confront a Maples team coming off a 3-0 league win over Geibel Catholic (Connellsville, PA). The Maples record now stands at 14-1.

The Cougars (4-11) will now prepare for their test against Charleroi (Charleroi, PA). The Cougars enter the WPIAL 2A 3 test with a 6-9 record. In their last test, Charleroi was nudged by Bentworth (Bentleyville, PA), 3-0, in a league test.
