With the win, Virginia High upgrades its record to 7-10 on the year. The Bearcats host Graham (Bluefield, VA) to play the G-Men in a Southwest bout on Tuesday, October 18. The G-Men go into the bout with a record of 7-10.

The Blue Tornado now own a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Hurley for a non-league bout on Monday, October 17. Richlands will play a Rebels squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Grundy (Grundy, VA). The Rebels record now stands at 0-9.
