The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 17-1. Perquimans won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Cape Hatteras (Buxton, NC)

The Cougars now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to Gates County for a Four Rivers 1A bout on Thursday, October 13. South Creek will play a Red Barons squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Perquimans (Hertford, NC). The Red Barons record now stands at 9-11.
