The Alexander Central Cougars volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Hibriten Panthers to 0 in the Cougars league victory on Wednesday.

The Cougars now have a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Freedom for a game on Monday, October 16. Alexander Central will confront a Patriots team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 2-12.

The Panthers (12-7) will now prepare for their game against Hickory (Hickory, NC). The Red Tornadoes enter the non-league game with a 15-4 record. In their last game, Hickory gained a win over St. Stephens (Hickory, NC), 2-1, in a league game.
