The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) and the visiting Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), saw Watauga's volleyball squad beat Freedom by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Watauga upgrades its record to 15-2 on the year. The Pioneers host St. Stephens (Hickory, NC) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 12. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 6-13. St. Stephens lost 2-1 in their recent league bout against Hickory (Hickory, NC)

The Patriots now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they host Alexander Central for a bout on Monday, October 16. Freedom will play a Cougars squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 11-6.
