In Wednesday's league battle, the host Starmount Rams soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Elkin Buckin' Elks.

The Rams (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Sauras go into the Northwest 1A battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, South Stokes nipped North Surry (Mount Airy, NC), 5-4, in a non-league battle.
