Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Penquis Valley Patriots (Milo, ME), 8-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates confront the Bangor Christian Patriots (Bangor, ME) in a Class D - North challenge, on Saturday, October 14. Piscataquis will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 6-2 non-league win over Central (East Corinth, ME).

The Patriots now have a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Penobscot Valley for a Class D - North challenge on Tuesday, October 17.
