The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA) and the host Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), saw Buckingham's volleyball squad beat Nelson County by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Buckingham upgrades its record to 8-6 on the year. The Knights host Nottoway (Nottoway, VA) to play the Cougars in a James River bout on Monday, October 16. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Nottoway lost 3-2 in their recent league bout against Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA)

The Governors now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Appomattox County for a Dogwood bout on Thursday, October 12. Nelson County will play a Raiders squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 14-2.
