West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) backers left the game in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC), 3-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Trojans battle the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A match, on Thursday, October 12. West Brunswick will attempt to better on its 7-12 season record. The Wildcats come into the match with a 6-14 record after their 3-0 league loss to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC).

With the loss, East Columbus drops to 12-6 on the campaign. The Gators host Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC) to battle the Titans in a Waccamaw 1A/2A match on Thursday, October 12. The Titans come into the match with a record of 10-10. Heide Trask lost 3-0 in their recent league match against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC)
