In Wednesday's league battle, the host Hayfield Hawks volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Edison Eagles.

The Hawks (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against Mount Vernon (Alexandria, VA). The Majors come into the National battle with a 1-11 record. In their last battle, Mount Vernon lost by Falls Church (Falls Church, VA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Annandale Atoms (Annandale, VA) in a National battle, on Tuesday, October 17. Edison will attempt to advance on its 3-9 season record. The Atoms come into the battle with a 1-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology (Alexandria, VA).
