Pennsylvania High School Football - Hempfield Area thwarted by Seneca Valley

October 11, 2024: Harmony, PA 16037

Seneca Valley Raiders (Harmony, PA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA), 27-15 in a league battle.

With the win, Seneca Valley improves its record to 3-4 on the season. The Raiders travel to Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA) to play the Vikings in a WPIAL AAAAAA Quad-County battle on Friday, October 18. The Vikings go into the battle with a record of 6-2. Central Catholic won 59-14 in their recent league battle against Norwin (North Huntingdon, PA)

The Spartans now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Mt. Lebanon for a WPIAL AAAAAA Quad-County battle on Friday, October 18. Hempfield Area will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 42-34 non-league loss to Penn Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-7.
