Pennsylvania High School Football - Mercer overwhelmed by Wilmington

The Wilmington Greyhounds walloped the visiting Mercer Mustangs football team by a score of 49-8 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Greyhounds face the Sharpsville Blue Devils (Sharpsville, PA) in a District 10 Region 1 challenge, on Friday, October 18. Wilmington will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 40-21 league loss to Farrell (Farrell, PA).

The Mustangs (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Kennedy Catholic (Hermitage, PA). The enter the District 10 Region 1 challenge with a 0-7 record. In their last challenge, Kennedy Catholic was ripped by Reynolds (Greenville, PA), 43-8, in a league challenge.
