Fans at Friday's league battle between the Bucksport Golden Bucks (Bucksport, ME) and the host Sumner Tigers (East Sullivan, ME), saw Bucksport's soccer squad hold off Sumner by a score of 1-0.

The Golden Bucks (4-8) will now prepare for their battle against Central (East Corinth, ME). The Red Devils enter the Class C - North battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Central was edged by Orono (Orono, ME), 1-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Tigers confront the Woodland Dragons (Baileyville, ME) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 12. Sumner will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Dragons enter the battle with a 4-7 record after their 3-1 league win over Jonesport-Beals (Jonesport, ME).
