Fans at Friday's league contest between the Hughes Springs Mustangs (Hughes Springs, TX) and the visiting Daingerfield Tigers (Daingerfield, TX), observed Hughes Springs's volleyball team top Daingerfield by a tally of 3-0.

The Mustangs (20-15) will now prepare for their contest against Harmony (Big Sandy, TX). The Eagles enter the 3A Region II District 13 contest with a 26-7 record. In their last contest, Harmony beat Jefferson (Jefferson, TX), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Tigers meet the Chapel Hill Red Devils (Mount Pleasant, TX) in a 3A Region II District 13 contest, on Tuesday, October 15. Daingerfield will attempt to upgrade on its 1-19 season record. The Red Devils enter the contest with a 12-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to New Diana (Diana, TX).
