Pima Roughriders (Pima, AZ) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans (Gilbert, AZ), 3-0 in a league test.
With the win, Pima improves its record to 7-7 on the season. The Roughriders travel to Miami (Miami, AZ) to encounter the Vandals in a 2A - East test on Thursday, October 17. The Vandals go into the test with a record of 0-16.
The Spartans now own a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host San Carlos for a 2A - East test on Monday, October 14. Gilbert Classical Academy will encounter a Braves squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Santa Cruz Valley (Eloy, AZ). The Braves record now stands at 1-14.
