Texas High School Volleyball - Leon over Normangee

Fans at Friday's league contest between the Leon Cougars (Jewett, TX) and the visiting Normangee Panthers (Normangee, TX), observed Leon's volleyball team top Normangee by a count of 3-0.

The Cougars (30-10) will now prepare for their contest against Centerville (Centerville, TX). The Tigers enter the 2A Region III District 22 contest with a 7-28 record. In their last contest, Centerville notched a victory over Lovelady (Lovelady, TX), 3-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Panthers battle the Iola Bulldogs (Iola, TX) in a 2A Region III District 22 contest, on Tuesday, October 15. Normangee will attempt to move on its 13-21 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 36-6 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Brenham (Brenham, TX).
