In Saturday's league outing, the visiting Scituate Spartans soccer squad scored a tight 6-2 victory over the Pilgrim Patriots.

The Spartans (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against Smithfield (Esmond, RI). The Sentinels go into the Division 2 outing with a 6-8 record. In their last outing, Smithfield got by Tiverton (Tiverton, RI), 2-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Patriots play the North Providence Cougars (North Providence, RI) in a Division 2 outing, on Tuesday, October 14. Pilgrim will attempt to advance on its 8-4 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 10-3 record after their 4-0 league win over Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI).
