The Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) volleyball knocked off the visiting Cook Hornets (Adel, GA), 3-0 in Saturday's league contest.
The Pirates (18-8) will now prepare for their contest against Jordan (Columbus, GA). The Red Jackets enter the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Jordan was knocked off by Hardaway (Columbus, GA), 3-1, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Hornets encounter the Davidson Fine Arts Titans (Augusta, GA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 14. Cook will attempt to improve on its 12-18 season record. The Titans go into the battle with a 22-20 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Academy of Richmond County (Augusta, GA).
