Massachusetts High School Volleyball - Bishop Stang bounced by New Bedford

New Bedford Whalers (New Bedford, MA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Bishop Stang Spartans (North Dartmouth, MA), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Whalers (6-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Bridgewater-Raynham (Bridgewater, MA). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 5-12 record. In their last challenge, Bridgewater-Raynham was beaten by Case (Swansea, MA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans meet the St. Mary's Spartans (Lynn, MA) in a Catholic Central - Large test, on Tuesday, October 14. Bishop Stang will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Spartans go into the test with a 7-8 record after their 3-2 league loss to Archbishop Williams (Braintree, MA).
