In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Cecilia Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the New Iberia Yellowjackets.

With the win, Cecilia improves its record to 6-19 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Delcambre (Delcambre, LA) to face the Panthers in a non-league test on Saturday, October 11. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 3-11. Delcambre won 3-1 in their recent league challenge against West St. Mary (Baldwin, LA)

Next, the Yellowjackets meet the Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) in a Division I District 3 challenge, on Thursday, October 16. New Iberia will attempt to upgrade on its 7-20 season record. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a 20-9 record after their 3-0 league win over Sulphur (Sulphur, LA).
