In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Wakpala Sioux.

The Braves (10-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Newell (Newell, SD). The Irrigators enter the non-league challenge with a 10-13 record. In their last challenge, Newell was beaten by Harding County (Buffalo, SD), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Sioux meet the North Central Thunder (Eureka, SD) in a B Region 6 challenge, on Thursday, October 16. Wakpala will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record. The Thunder go into the test with a 18-10 record after their 3-0 league loss to Herreid/Selby (Herreid, SD).
