In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Taft Toreadors volleyball team scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Eagle Rock Eagles.

The Toreadors (32-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Granada Hills Charter (Granada Hills, CA). The Highlanders come into the West Valley challenge with a 21-15 record. In their last challenge, Granada Hills Charter was nudged by El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next up, the Eagles face the Bravo Knights (Los Angeles, CA) in a Northern game, on Monday, October 13. Eagle Rock will attempt to advance on its 24-10 season record. The Knights go into the game with a 10-9 record after their 3-1 league loss to Lincoln (Los Angeles, CA).
