In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Oakley Plainsmen volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Ellis Railroaders.
The Plainsmen (30-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Hoxie (Hoxie, KS). The Indians enter the non-league challenge with a 14-13 record. In their last challenge, Hoxie was beaten by Phillipsburg (Phillipsburg, KS), 2-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Railroaders meet the Smith Center Redmen (Smith Center, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 11. Ellis will attempt to upgrade on its 9-19 season record. The Redmen enter the challenge with a 15-11 record after their 3-2 league loss to Oakley (Oakley, KS).
