Evart Wildcats (Evart, MI) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Meridian Mustangs (Sanford, MI), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats (7-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Onekama (Onekama, MI). The Portagers come into the non-league challenge with a 16-6 record. In their last challenge, Onekama beat Leland (Leland, MI), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Gladwin Flying G's (Gladwin, MI) in a Jack Pine test, on Monday, October 13. Meridian will attempt to advance on its 0-17 season record. The Flying G's go into the test with a 6-15 record after their 3-0 league win over Clare (Clare, MI).
