The Jefferson Cougars volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Lewis County Minutemen to 0 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now possess a 8-15 record. They play next when they travel to Spring Mills for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 11. Jefferson will play a Cardinals team coming off a 3-0 league win over Jefferson (Shenandoah Junction, WV). The Cardinals record now stands at 11-8.

The Minutemen (12-12) will now prepare for their game against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Spartans go into the non-league game with a 13-9 record. In their last game, Greenbrier East was dropped by Herbert Hoover (Elkview, WV), 2-0, in a league game.
