Illinois High School Volleyball - Lincoln can't hold off Tri-Valley

In Saturday's non-league match, the Tri-Valley Vikings (Downs, IL) volleyball team held off the host Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL), by a margin of 2-1.

The Vikings now possess a 20-8 record. They play next when they travel to Washington for a non-league bout on Monday, October 13. Tri-Valley will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Pekin (Pekin, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 17-12.

The Railsplitters (12-13) will now prepare for their bout against Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL). The Cyclones come into the Central State Eight bout with a 17-12 record. In their last bout, Sacred Heart-Griffin was nudged by Quincy (Quincy, IL), 2-1, in a non-league bout.
