Texas High School Volleyball - McAllen Memorial over Vela

In Saturday's league challenge, the visiting McAllen Memorial Mustangs volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Vela Sabercats.

The Mustangs (28-8) will now prepare for their test against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial (Alamo, TX). The Wolverines go into the 5A Region IV District 31 test with a 5-16 record. In their last test, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial was defeated by Vela (Edinburg, TX), 3-0, in a league test.

The Sabercats now own a 30-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McAllen for a 5A Region IV District 31 challenge on Tuesday, October 14. Vela will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Pioneer (Mission, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 23-14.
