The Northland Pines Eagles volleyball squad (Eagle River, WI), was edged 3-2 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting Merrill Bluejays (Merrill, WI)

The Bluejays (15-15) will now prepare for their contest against Mosinee (Mosinee, WI). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 29-3 record. In their last contest, Mosinee got by Lakeland (Minocqua, WI), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Eagles battle the Tomahawk Hatchets (Tomahawk, WI) in a Great Northern contest, on Saturday, October 11. Northland Pines will attempt to move on its 18-12 season record. The Hatchets enter the contest with a 13-15 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Wittenberg-Birnamwood (Wittenberg, WI).
