Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Soldotna Stars (Soldotna, AK) and the visiting Sitka Wolves (Sitka, AK), observed Soldotna's volleyball team hold off Sitka by a tally of 2-1.

The Stars (19-10) will now prepare for their contest against Sitka (Sitka, AK). The Wolves go into the non-league test with a 14-13 record. In their last test, Sitka was edged by Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK), 1-0, in a non-league test.

The Wolves now own a 18-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mountain City Christian Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, October 11. Sitka will face a Lions squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Seward (Seward, AK). The Lions record now stands at 11-11.
