The Foard Tigers (Newton, NC) volleyball overcame the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC), 3-0 in Tuesday's league outing.

With the win, Foard upgrades its record to 19-2 on the year. The Tigers travel to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC) to face the Indians in a Western Foothills 3A outing on Wednesday, October 13. The Indians go into the outing with a record of 7-13. St. Stephens won 3-1 in their recent league outing against Statesville (Statesville, NC)

The Red Tornadoes now own a 11-8 record. They play next when they host Statesville for a Western Foothills 3A outing on Wednesday, October 13. Hickory will face a Greyhounds squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 2-18.
