The Hickory Hawks topped the visiting Grassfield Grizzlies volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Hawks now have a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oscar Smith for a non-league test on Wednesday, October 12. Hickory will confront a Tigers team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Indian River (Chesapeake, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-4.
The Grizzlies (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA). The Bruins enter the non-league test with a 6-3 record. In their last test, Western Branch gained a win over Indian River (Chesapeake, VA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
