In their next game, the Vikings battle the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A outing, on Monday, October 17. Avery County will attempt to advance on its 2-8 season record. The Patriots go into the outing with a 2-10 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC).
