The Encinal Jets volleyball team (Alameda, CA), was dropped 3-1 in Wednesday's league challenge with the host Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA)

The Hornets (18-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Piedmont (Piedmont, CA). The Highlanders enter the West Alameda County - Foothill challenge with a 8-14 record. In their last challenge, Piedmont was dropped by Castro Valley (Castro Valley, CA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Jets meet the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons (Oakland, CA) in a West Alameda County - Foothill challenge, on Monday, October 17. Encinal will attempt to move on its 5-21 season record. The Dragons enter the challenge with a 28-8 record after their 3-2 league win over Berkeley (Berkeley, CA).
