In Thursday's league contest, the Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting Twin Springs Titans (Nickelsville, VA), by a margin of 3-1.
Next up, the Spartans battle the J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA) in a Cumberland contest, on Tuesday, October 11. Eastside will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Black Raiders come into the contest with a 4-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Rye Cove (Clinchport, VA).
With the loss, Twin Springs drops to 8-7 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Castlewood (Castlewood, VA) to battle the Blue Devils in a Cumberland contest on Thursday, October 13. The Blue Devils come into the contest with a record of 6-9.
