In Thursday's non-league contest, the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) volleyball squad were winner over the host Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Huskies battle the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, October 16. Ashe County will attempt to better on its 16-1 season record.

With the loss, Draughn moves to 18-3 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC) to battle the Cougars in a contest on Tuesday, October 17. The Cougars go into the contest with a record of 10-8.
