The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA) and the visiting Parkway Panthers (Bossier City, LA), saw Byrd's volleyball squad beat Parkway by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Byrd upgrades its record to 11-10 on the year. The Yellow Jackets travel to Haughton (Haughton, LA) to play the Buccaneers in a Division I District 1 bout on Tuesday, October 17. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 11-15. Haughton won 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against West Monroe (West Monroe, LA)

The Panthers now own a 9-19 record. They play next when they travel to Calvary Baptist Academy for a non-league bout on Monday, October 16. Parkway will play a Cavaliers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 17-4.
