In Thursday's league battle, the host Narrows Green Waves volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs.

The Green Waves (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 15-3 record. In their last battle, Giles went down by Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Mustangs encounter the Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 16. Eastern Montgomery will attempt to move on its 5-11 season record. The Maroon Tide come into the battle with a 8-10 record after their 3-0 league win over Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA).
