Illinois High School Volleyball - Herscher can't hold off Manteno

In Thursday's league battle, the host Manteno Panthers volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Herscher Tigers.

The Panthers (9-14) will now prepare for their battle against Seneca (Seneca, IL). The Fighting Irish come into the non-league battle with a 19-7 record. In their last battle, Seneca nudged St. Bede (Peru, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints (Bloomington, IL) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 13. Herscher will attempt to advance on its 13-14 season record. The Saints come into the battle with a 20-6 record after their 2-1 league win over St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL).
