The Shiprock Chieftains held off the host Kirtland Central Broncos volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's league test.
The Chieftains now have a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Aztec for a 4A District 1 test on Tuesday, October 17. Shiprock will confront a Tigers team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Tigers record now stands at 8-4.
The Broncos (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Miyamura (Gallup, NM). The Patriots enter the 4A District 1 test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Miyamura was nudged by Gallup (Gallup, NM), 3-0, in a league test.
