The Winters Mill Falcons volleyball team (Westminster, MD), was nudged 3-2 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Liberty Lions (Sykesville, MD)

The Lions (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Century (Sykesville, MD). The Knights enter the MVAL - Chesapeake challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Century was nudged by South Carroll (Sykesville, MD), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Falcons meet the South Carroll Cavaliers (Sykesville, MD) in a MVAL - Chesapeake challenge, on Tuesday, October 17. Winters Mill will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Walkersville (Walkersville, MD).
