The McNair Academic Cougars volleyball team (Jersey City, NJ), went down 2-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Union City Soaring Eagles (Union City, NJ)

The Soaring Eagles (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against North Bergen (North Bergen, NJ). The Bruins enter the non-league challenge with a 5-11 record. In their last challenge, North Bergen went down by Bayonne (Bayonne, NJ), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars encounter the Kearny Kardinals (Kearny, NJ) in a Freelance challenge, on Monday, October 16. McNair Academic will attempt to move on its 11-9 season record. The Kardinals enter the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 2-0 league loss to Hudson Catholic (Jersey City, NJ).
