The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA) and the visiting Mission College Prep Royals (San Luis Obispo, CA), saw San Marcos's volleyball squad nip Mission College Prep by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, San Marcos upgrades its record to 20-11 on the year.

The Royals now own a 14-10 record. They play next when they host Arroyo Grande for a Central Coast Athletic - Mountain bout on Tuesday, October 17. Mission College Prep will play a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to San Luis Obispo (San Luis Obispo, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 7-14.
