In Saturday's league outing, the host Spring Creek Spartans soccer squad scored a tight 4-2 victory over the Fernley Vaqueros.

The Spartans (10-11) will now prepare for their outing against White Pine (Ely, NV). The Bobcats go into the 3A Northern - East outing with a 4-10 record. In their last outing, White Pine by Lowry (Winnemucca, NV), 3-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Vaqueros play the Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) in a 3A Northern - East outing, on Tuesday, October 15. Fernley will attempt to improve on its 10-10 season record. The Mustangs go into the outing with a 6-7 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Quincy (Quincy, CA).
