In Saturday's league outing, the visiting Stanfield/Echo Tigers soccer squad scored a tight 4-2 victory over the Grant Union Prospectors.

The Tigers (9-4) will now prepare for their outing against McLoughlin (Milton-Freewater, OR). The Pioneers go into the 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 outing with a 8-3 record. In their last outing, McLoughlin Riverside (Boardman, OR), 1-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Prospectors play the Irrigon Knights (Irrigon, OR) in a 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 outing, on Tuesday, October 15. Grant Union will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Knights go into the outing with a 2-9 record after their 8-0 league loss to Four Rivers (Ontario, OR).
