Fans at Saturday's league battle between the McLoughlin Pioneers (Milton-Freewater, OR) and the host Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR), saw McLoughlin's soccer squad knock off Riverside by a count of 2-0.

The Pioneers (10-3) will now prepare for their battle against Pendleton (Pendleton, OR). The Buckaroos enter the non-league battle with a 1-9 record. In their last battle, Pendleton by Baker/Powder Valley (Baker City, OR), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Pirates battle the Nyssa Bulldogs (Nyssa, OR) in a 3A/2A/1A-SD6 Special District 6 battle, on Tuesday, October 15. Riverside will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 2-11 record after their 2-1 league loss to Umatilla (Umatilla, OR).
