In Saturday's non-league match, the host Rock Bridge Bruins softball team scored a tight 8-3 victory over the Kickapoo Chiefs.
The Bruins (27-6) will now prepare for their match against Smith-Cotton (Sedalia, MO). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 17-13 record. In their last match, Smith-Cotton tipped Eugene (Eugene, MO), 12-11, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Chiefs battle the Central Bulldogs (Springfield, MO) in a non-league match, on Monday, October 14. Kickapoo will attempt to better on its 27-5 season record.
