The Marathon Mustangs volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Comstock Panthers to 0 in the Mustangs league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now have a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Buena Vista for a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 15. Marathon will play a Longhorns team coming off a 3-1 league win over Balmorhea (Balmorhea, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 16-16.

With the loss, Comstock drops to 0-10 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Rankin (Rankin, TX) to play the Red Devils in a 1A Region I District 5 outing on Tuesday, October 15. The Red Devils come into the outing with a record of 19-13. Rankin won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Iraan (Iraan, TX)
