In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Fonda-Fultonville Valley Hawks volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Mekeel Christian Academy Lions.

The Valley Hawks (19-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY). The Warriors enter the non-league challenge with a 11-8 record. In their last challenge, Mohonasen beat Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (Ravena, NY), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Mayfield Panthers (Mayfield, NY) in a Section 2 Western - Northern challenge, on Wednesday, October 16. Mekeel Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 1-15 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY).
