In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks (Wellman, IA) volleyball team beat the host Martensdale-St. Mary's Blue Devils (Martensdale, IA), by a tally of 2-0.

The Golden Hawks (26-7) will now prepare for their challenge against West Liberty (West Liberty, IA). The Comets come into the non-league challenge with a 22-11 record. In their last challenge, West Liberty lost by Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils play the Southeast Warren Warhawks (Liberty Center, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 14. Martensdale-St. Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 5-25 season record. The Warhawks come into the challenge with a 22-14 record after their 2-1 league win over Colfax-Mingo (Colfax, IA).
